Salary: Β£50,000 - 90,000 per year
Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on experience developing and optimising complex Power BI solutions, including reusable semantic models rather than only individual reports or dashboards
- Proven experience consolidating multiple standalone datasets or semantic models into shared analytical products supporting several reports, teams or business use cases
- Strong Power BI expertise, including DAX, relationships, storage modes, security and performance optimisation
- Advanced SQL skills and practical experience using a modern data platform for data preparation, transformation and analytical modelling, ideally including Microsoft Fabric
- Strong analytical and stakeholder skills, with the ability to turn ambiguous requirements and fragmented data into scalable, maintainable solutions
- Experience preparing models for Copilot or natural-language querying would be advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Lead the hands-on design and development of reusable analytical datasets and Power BI semantic models for BI and analytics use cases
- Assess and consolidate standalone semantic models, bringing common data, measures and business logic into shared analytical products that support multiple reports and BI use cases
- Translate complex business questions into clear data requirements, definitions, measures and practical Power BI solutions
- Diagnose and resolve Power BI performance issues through effective semantic-model design, DAX optimisation and appropriate storage choices
- Work with Power BI developers, data engineers, architects and business stakeholders to align solutions with agreed standards and take them through testing, deployment and ongoing improvement
