Overview

As a Document Controller at SSE, you will oversee project documentation across large capital programmes to support the UK’s net-zero transition.

You will work with project teams, contractors and partners to ensure information is accurate, accessible and well-governed throughout the lifecycle.

The role focuses on robust document control processes, continuous improvement, and effective use of the EDMS.

  • Manage and control project documentation in line with procedures
  • Coordinate documentation from contractors and third parties; perform quality checks
  • Maintain document registers and report status and actions
  • Support administration, training and use of the EDMS
  • Foster strong relationships with project teams and contractor organisations
  • Identify opportunities to improve document management processes and ways of working

  • Experience as a Document Controller in large engineering, construction, utilities or major capital projects
  • Strong understanding of document control systems, governance and engineering documentation management
