Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend up to 50% of your working week in the office – Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.

The role: SSEN Transmission has an opportunity for 2 Digital Information (BIM) Coordinators to play a key role in facilitation of modelling principles, including clash detection, coordination, federation and geolocation of large-scale multi-contract projects. This shall be across a large portfolio of works, via our ASTI Pathway to 2030 programme and our Joint Venture Program, Eastern Greenlink.

Successful applicants will be responsible for providing key input into the development of the processes and procedures involved in the production of information, as well as validating information of the projects assigned to them.

You will:

  • Coordinate and support the configuration of various modules within the SSEN Transmission's Common Data Environment (CDE), Autodesk Forma (previously known as Autodesk Construction Cloud) to ensure this fits the needs of the project and delivery teams.
  • Assist in the preparation of the processes required, to embed as part of the project specific information requirements documentation, in line with the BS EN ISO 19650 series and the UK BIM Framework.
  • Support in the upskilling of both internal teams and external delivery partners to ensure full understanding of the systems and processes, and compliance with the prescribed workflows.
  • Act as the main point of contact on assigned projects for all Information management related tasks and coordinate the sharing of commercially sensitive or confidential model information.
  • Verify and validate that model information and asset data is accurate and complete. Also, liaise with internal teams on all related issues and tasks to ensure consistency of approach on all projects.

You have:

  • Excellent administration and organisational skills; with experience in collaboration software, specifically Autodesk Forma.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of authoring information in AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D is required.
  • Knowledge of file outputs such as Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) and data classification sets (such as UniClass) would be advantageous.
  • Project delivery experience is required.
  • Demonstrable experience and skills to coordinate multiple tasks, manage meeting schedules and produce succinct and clear reports.
  • Be a data driven professional, with proven ability to provide technical support and advice to project teams, and identification of business/project and technical improvements.
  • Knowledge of PowerBi and scripting via the use of Python or C# would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and UK BIM Framework guidance and industry standard best practices and processes for information management.
  • Quality management is a core aspect within the digital information coordination role.
  • An approachable and professional manner, working well with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve the best outcome.
