Overview
In this role you will ensure projects in the Large Capital Project Services unit comply with SSE systems and governance.
You will drive the development and effectiveness of the Quality Management System and establish procedures for consistent project delivery.
You will assess specifications against standards and shape cross-disciplinary processes.
You will provide QA expertise throughout development and delivery, with leadership in quality activities and collaboration with management and project teams.
A driving licence and some travel may be required.

Responsibilities
- Ensure projects operate in line with SSE systems and LCPS Governance Framework
- Support development and improvement of the QMS and establish consistent procedures
- Assess product specifications and project requirements for compliance with national/international standards
- Define processes with project staff and lead cross-disciplinary collaboration to agree procedures
- Provide quality assurance expertise in project development and delivery
- Lead quality management activities and maintain relationships with departmental management and project teams
- Key requirements
- Chartered Quality Professional (CQP MCQI) is highly desirable
- Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001 with audit experience (internal and supplier chain)
- Understanding of SSE Transmission and knowledge of construction/engineering activities
- Ability to implement and use company standard management systems
- Demonstrated leadership in quality management and relationship building with stakeholders
- Full, current driving licence and ability to travel
