Responsibilities
- Oversee a varied design portfolio and coordinate resources to meet SSEN standards
- Lead development and delivery of cost-effective engineering solutions from feasibility to design approval
- Manage daily operations of the design team to improve productivity and contractor performance
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives and KPI targets across the Engineering Design team
- Collaborate with contractor design partners to ensure on‑time, on‑budget outputs aligned with project requirements
Key requirements
- Degree in Electrical Design (preferred) or HNC with substantial relevant experience
- Proven people management and leadership experience
- Solid engineering design expertise with governance and CDM knowledge
- Track record of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Excellent negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills
