Overview
In this role you will lead the AVEVA PI platform, ensuring secure, highly available real-time data capabilities across the business.
You’ll work within a specialist tech team to own PI Data Archive, AF, and PI Vision, guiding integration with OT and enterprise systems.
You’ll drive platform strategy, improvements, and upgrades while collaborating with infrastructure, cyber security, and project teams.
This is an opportunity to shape real-time data capabilities in support of SSE’s low-carbon energy goals.

Responsibilities
- Act as SME for the AVEVA PI platform and associated components
- Administer, maintain, and ensure high availability, performance, security and resilience
- Configure and troubleshoot PI interfaces, connectors and integrations
- Lead platform upgrades, patching, disaster recovery testing, performance tuning and lifecycle management
- Provide technical guidance to users, project teams and suppliers while promoting best practices
- Key requirements
- Experience administering and supporting AVEVA PI technologies in a production environment
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting PI Interfaces, Connectors, SDKs, APIs
- Strong knowledge of application support, platform administration, performance monitoring, resilience, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of industrial control systems, OT, telemetry, SCADA or real-time data platforms
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders as a trusted specialist
