The role
We are looking for a Storeperson to join our team to provide excellent customer service through the management and control of materials and equipment. You will:
- Take care of all site ordering and deliveries, making good use of our systems and processes to keep stock levels in check.
- Collaborate with our logistics partners to quickly sort out any stock or delivery issues, including tackling material shortages when they arise.
- Keep clear and accurate records of stock movements and orders, whether that’s through simple data entry or completing paperwork.
- Carry out regular checks of the storage areas to make sure everything’s up to standard and handle basic maintenance tasks when needed.
- Keep the depot yard organised and running smoothly, this includes managing the recycling centre, ensuring safety standards are met, conducting yard audits, and reporting any risks or incidents.
You have:
- Previous experience working in a stores environment, along with a valid counterbalance forklift licence.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for delivering great customer service.
- A careful and safety-conscious approach, with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities, and a collaborative mindset that helps build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
