An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial function, to develop and manage supply chain relationships and performance as part of the Supply Chain Performance centre of excellence team. This key role will be vital to the successful development and delivery of our projects across our Networks Transmission business.


Reporting to the Senior Procurement and Commercial Manager, the Supply Chain Manager will collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support the growth and performance of the supply chain.



You will



  • Build relationships with key supply chain companies and support implementation of engagement strategy to support the successful delivery of projects.

  • Co-ordinate engagement and interaction with the supply chain to enable clear communication on key areas.

  • Work with stakeholders to establish sources of data, both new and existing, to provide measurable and comparable feedback regarding supply chain performance.

  • Support the development and implementation of a performance analytics platform to display up to date data which can be easily extracted for review to inform different levels of engagement and help drive better performance.

  • Have excellent organisation and planning skills with the ability to work to deadlines and still deliver quality output whilst dealing with changing priorities and managing your own time effectively.



You have



  • Quantity Surveying degree / CIPS or equivalent is desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build good, collaborative and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across varying disciplines.

  • Technical knowledge of construction and infrastructure projects is desirable, but not essential.

  • Previous experience as an Analyst would be advantageous, however experience as a skilled problem solver is crucial, you must be able to identify any issues and work to solve them quickly, effectively, and accurately.

  • The ability to ensure accurate and complete data and information exchange among various stakeholders across multiple platforms and reporting tools including Excel, SharePoint, Power BI as well as any future cost reports and / or digital systems. Previous experience of successfully implementing new digital solutions.

  • We are looking for a highly numerate candidate with a good technical knowledge who can analyse and interpret numerical and asset volume data with well-developed cost management skills, ideally with experience in a commercial or costing background. Excellent IT skills are essential including knowledge of all MS Office applications.
