Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations β Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow or Perth.
Salary: Circa Β£55,000 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The role
The Project Marine Manager is a key role within the Offshore Directorate Marine Function supporting the delivery of Marine Operations and Assurance across the SSEN Transmissions portfolio of projects. The position will focus on project specific delivery ensuring that the vessel and marine activities meet the defined assurance requirement and that the marine operations are executed safely and effectively.
You will
- Ensure that safety remains the number one focus across all marine operations.
- Own the marine and vessel assurance process within a specific project.
- Interface extensively with the project team and the project marine contractors, subcontractors and vessel personnel.
- Provide marine input into the project contract and stage gate documentation; owning the development and implementation of the Projects Marine and Vessel Management Plans.
You have
- Natural leadership qualities with an excellent understanding of marine assurance, extensive knowledge of marine standards, processes and practices, advanced knowledge of different vessel types used in marine construction and their mission specific equipment.
- Extensive Marine and Vessel Assurance Experience, familiar with IMCA and OCIMF.
- Experience in the Offshore Energy industry with extensive experience in marine operations and environmental factors.
- Experience in accident/incident reporting and providing leadership on site in terms of safety management.
- Essential β Master Mariner qualification with Command experience.
