Base Location:Flexible Scotland | We\'re proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will however need your base \'home\' location to be one of our SSE offices across Scotland (Inverness/Aberdeen/Perth).

Salary:£58,100 - £75,100+ car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.

Working Pattern:Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available. On site presence required minimum 2/3 days a week on Skye.

The role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Skye 132kV Reinforcement team as we prepare for the Delivery phase during 2025 - 2030. There is continuity of work after 2030 on our evolving pipeline of work over the next 10-15 years.

You will

- Lead the SSE team and work alongside multiple external contractors, to ensure project excellence is achieved and we deliver on our promises.

- Manage the execution of the Skye Reinforcement Project, ensuring the safe delivery to programme, cost and the necessary quality.

- Apply and adhere to our Safety Management Systems, best practices and the SSE Large Capital Projects (LCP) Governance processes.

- Demonstrate alignment with the SSE Safety Culture and core leadership values.

- Align delivery of the project to the SHE-Transmission RIIO-T2 Business Plan and our 5 clear goals.

You have

- A strong engineering or construction background, with experience in civils and large-scale earthworks, piling, onshore wind farms, or transmission overhead lines. A thorough understanding of safety and CDM regulations, along with a proven track record in the successful delivery of major projects.

- Experience of the reporting and management requirements that come with such a role and an understanding of the administration of the NEC3 suite of contracts.

- An understanding of developing and managing integrated project programmes and associated project management governance systems. Experience of the tendering processes for the engagement and management of suppliers including multi-disciplinary contracts.

- The ability to accurately forecast and control costs.

- The ability to understand Industry legislation, Health and Safety legislation and SSEN Company policies and procedures.

Due to the location of our projects, there is a need to have an applicable driver\'s license.
