Project Assurance Analyst

Base Location: Flexible, preference for UK sites: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant.

Salary: £35,200 – £52,800 + performance-related bonus + benefits.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible Working options available.

Role Overview

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Project Assurance Analyst to join the SSEN Distribution Large Capital Delivery (LCD) team. The LCD team manages a diverse portfolio of major capital projects and programmes across the electricity distribution network within SEPD and SHEPD licence areas, with project values ranging from £2.5 million to £100 million.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments across project delivery to ensure compliance with internal standards.
• Ensure design, consenting and build works are defect free throughout the project lifecycle through regular checkpoints and reviews.
• Review and validate supplier activity at regular intervals to ensure consistency with specifications.
• Provide written reports with recommendations based on assurance findings and develop portfolio, programme and project level reports with analysis to update performance.
• Oversee and support project related compliance and reporting activities to ensure LCD has effective policies, processes and practices in place.

Required Qualifications

• Solid understanding of quality improvement frameworks and project assurance requirements.
• Strong sense of areas of assurance and ability to plan appropriate tasks based on experience.
• Ability to form effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders; work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of quality and auditing procedures within similar sized organisations.
