Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office - Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen, Perth.

The role:
- We are recruiting an experienced Governance Manager to work across the Eastern Green Link Portfolio.
- You will develop governance strategy across the portfolio and work closely with the SSEN and National Grid as well as the individual Joint Venture (JV) projects to ensure adherence to both JV and respective Transmission Owner (TO) governance requirements.
- You will work to develop and maintain consistency of approach and tooling across the portfolio.
- You will act as the owner of the Governance framework across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with Joint Venture (JV) governance criteria and Transmission Owner (TO) requirements.
- Input and provide updates to the portfolio governance and assurance strategy, and provide SME input to individual project governance and assurance strategies.
- Work with project teams to identify items requiring Transmission Owner Board governance and ensure they are accurately captured, tracked and progressed through the appropriate escalations.
- Provide line management, leadership and oversight to the Governance Analyst, supporting the effective delivery of governance activities across the portfolio.
- Support the development and implementation of the Delegation of Authority structure across the portfolio to support clear decision-making and accountability.
- Own the cadence and sequencing of governance meetings across the portfolio, defining and maintaining the Terms of Reference (TORs) and pack requirements, ensuring they remain consistent, accurate, fit for purpose and support effective decision making.
You have:
- Demonstrable experience designing and leading governance frameworks within a large-scale infrastructure or major capital projects environment.
- Proven ability to engage with, influence, and work effectively alongside Director-level and C-suite stakeholders.
- Experience providing leadership, development, and line management to team members to support high-performing delivery.
- Knowledge of, or experience working within or in close collaboration with, PMO or project services functions.
