Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations - Glasgow, Perth, Inverness, Aberdeen.

The role: We are recruiting an experienced Assurance Manager to support delivery across the Eastern Green Link Portfolio. In this role, you will have portfolio-level accountability for the LCP+ framework (integrating SSE's LCP and National Grid's BP500S1), ensuring it is effectively embedded across the Joint Venture (JV) and fully aligned with Transmission Owner (TO) requirements.
- Own and lead the implementation of the LCP+ framework, ensuring consistent application across the Joint Venture and compliance with Transmission Owner requirements.
- Lead and oversee assurance gate delivery across the portfolio, working closely with project teams to ensure gates are clearly defined, planned, and executed to a high standard.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver the portfolio audit strategy, including audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow‑up actions.
- Define and own the integrated project assurance plan, providing subject‑matter expertise to individual project strategies.
- Work with internal teams and specialist SMEs to conduct periodic reviews of project governance, management systems, and processes to confirm agreed standards are being met.
- Provide line management, leadership and direction to the Assurance Analyst, supporting the effective and timely delivery of assurance activities across the portfolio.
You have:
- Proven experience in shaping and leading assurance and audit activities across large‑scale infrastructure or major capital projects.
- Significant experience developing and managing robust assurance gate processes to support effective programme and project governance.
- Demonstrated capability in leading, developing, and line managing teams to deliver assurance activities effectively.
- Familiarity with SSE's LCP and/or National Grid's BP500S1 frameworks, and experience working within a joint venture environment, would be advantageous.
