We are seeking an experienced HGV/HIAB Lorry Driver to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of poles and equipment to various sites, using a HIAB for loading and unloading. The ideal candidate will have a valid HGV license (Category C or C+E), CPC certification, and experience operating lorries equipped with cranes. Flexibility with working hours is essential, especially during emergencies or storm conditions, as part of our SSEN license responsibilities. A strong safety focus, good driving record, and commitment to excellent customer service is key to success in this role.
You Will:
- Operate a pole lorry, using a HIAB for loading and unloading.
- Ensure the safe transportation of poles and materials, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Interact with internal and external customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
You Have:
- Valid HGV license (Category C or C+E).
- Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Experience operating a lorry with a crane or HIAB.
- Good driving record and knowledge of road safety regulations relating to HGV usage.
