Ready to lead major Smart Buildings projects that make a real impact for customers and communities? In this senior role, you'll be at the forefront of delivering intelligent, low carbon building solutions across West London. You'll shape how sites operate, perform and evolve - taking ownership of high profile programmes and becoming SSE's on-the-ground presence. It's a chance to combine technical delivery with real influence, driving projects that improve efficiency, sustainability and customer experience.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing a portfolio of Smart Buildings projects, ensuring they're delivered on time, within budget, and in line with customer and contractual requirements.
- Leading, developing, and mentoring a team of Project Managers, Project Engineers and Commissioning Engineers to create a high performance, safety first culture.
- Acting as the key point of contact for customers, providing clear communication, managing expectations, and ensuring a professional presence on customer sites.
- Managing commercial performance across the portfolio - forecasting, budgeting, risk management, and financial reporting.
- Driving continuous improvement, ensuring quality standards are maintained, documentation is completed to a high standard, and project processes are consistently followed.
What we're looking for
- Strong project delivery experience in Smart Buildings, controls, BEMS, or a related technical environment, with the ability to manage multiple live projects.
- Proven leadership experience with an ability to guide teams, develop talent, and maintain high standards of performance and safety.
- Excellent stakeholder and customer management skills, with confidence representing SSE on site and solving challenges collaboratively.
- Commercial awareness with experience in budgeting, forecasting, contract management, and risk mitigation.
- Someone based in West London and able to travel across the South East, with the flexibility to be regularly on site as the main SSE project presence in support of our delivery teams.
