The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.

To help achieve our RIIO-T3 and Pathway to 2030 business plan we are looking for a Technical Innovation Project Manager who will spearhead and support Network Engineering in defining, prioritising and implementing innovative solutions to meet SSEN Transmission's strategic objectives.

You will:

  • Define clear and concise problem statements that guide innovation value streams with key stakeholders to identify and articulate key business challenges and opportunities.
  • Deeply understand the impact and potential of our ideas by listening to market needs and foster a collaborative environment where cross‑functional teams can come together to thoughtfully choose and champion the most meaningful innovations.
  • Champion innovations with clear communication of the risk and opportunities of the innovation to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Support the development of the risk register for each innovation ensuring key technology risks are identified and managed ensuring adherence with all safety, regulatory, and compliance obligations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to integrate successful innovations from Network Engineering into standard business operations through project delivery.

You have:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline with strong multi-disciplinary business background and experience.
  • Experience in R&D and innovation projects including experience of managing the full project life cycle from concept through delivery to completion.
  • Preferably qualified in a relevant engineering discipline with extensive experience of delivering positive change within a similar environment.
  • Strong technical engineering knowledge and problem‑solving experience and capabilities across the range of engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a range of audiences, to prepare clear and concise reports, including conclusions and clear recommendations and confident presentation skills.
