Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office - Perth, Inverness or Aberdeen.
Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 + car/car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role:
- As Senior Development Project Manager you will lead and manage a portfolio of Large Capital Projects for the SSEN Transmission business, developing substation, overhead line and cable projects ranging in value from £20m-£1b, all supporting the transition to NetZero.
- Manage a team of up to three Development Project Managers to progress the project development of your portfolio through the optioneering and initial design phases, with an ability to develop the optimum project solution, deliver to timescales and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Develop, manage and report on significant development budgets (£10M and above) for your project portfolio.
- Develop, manage and report on project programmes to maintain project milestones and developing mitigation as required where issues are encountered for your project portfolio.
- Undertake the role of the Client under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and ensuring the requirements of this are met.
- Develop your team to provide the necessary skills and experience to meet business requirements.
You have:
- Strong leadership skills with experience of developing, managing and reporting on significant infrastructure projects.
- Engineering or Project Management qualification, degree, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other key relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Experience of the NEC3 Suite of Contracts, with a focus on the Engineering and Construction and Professional Services Contracts.
- Experience of project development through the optioneering and initial design phases, with an ability to develop the optimum project solution, deliver to timescales and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
