  • Creating and maintaining an exemplary safety culture across high-risk subsea, marine and construction environments, ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and proactive engagement with contractors, regulators and statutory stakeholders.
  • Establishing and leading clear delivery strategies, robust programmes, procurement approaches and consent strategies, ensuring projects comply with recognised governance frameworks and are fully resourced and financially viable.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams and supply chain partners to refine designs, pass governance gates, and safely execute projects to agreed cost, schedule and quality standards.
  • Owning all commercial and financial aspects of delivery including contracting, budget control, leadership papers, spend forecasting and managing projects typically ranging from £5m–£50m.
  • Building, leading and developing high-performing teams while maintaining strong relationships with landowners, statutory bodies and partners, driving innovation, continuous improvement and future project success.

You have:

  • Proven leadership and project management capability, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to lead complex delivery teams effectively.
  • Strong safety, governance and regulatory awareness, including relevant statutory and CDM regulations.
  • Relevant industry experience, gained within electricity distribution, utilities, construction or submarine cabling, ideally delivering major capital projects in a regulated environment.
  • Technical, commercial and delivery expertise, supported by strong engineering and construction knowledge, experience managing integrated programmes, cost forecasting, reporting and successful end-to-end project delivery.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder and contract management skills, with the ability to represent the business externally, negotiate effectively and manage third-party engineering and construction contracts.

A valid driving licence is essential. The requirement will be reviewed on an ongoing basis; if company car policy criteria are met, there will be an opportunity to join the company car scheme.
