Base Location: Basingstoke or Reading

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time

Salary and Benefits: £29,504 to £34,757 plus:

  • Fully funded training to become a qualified CT engineer
  • Overtime and travel time available
  • 37 hour working week
  • Access to a company vehicle
  • Full PPE and tools supplied for the role
  • If based at Slough/West London also includes a London allowance of £3,300

Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, maintain, replace, and remotely test 3‑phase CT metering equipment
  • Operate LV systems and carry out complex testing and inspections in line with company procedures
  • Investigate high consumption issues, dangerous occurrences, and customer queries while working independently when required
  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring the safety of yourself and colleagues in all activities
  • Conduct Point of Work Risk Assessments, implement hazard controls, and maintain accurate records

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Knowledge and hands‑on experience with electrical systems and safe working practices
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, stakeholders, and the public
  • Comfortable working independently outdoors in all weather conditions and adapting to changing environments
  • Quick learner with a proactive attitude towards training, teamwork, and achieving shared goals
  • Organised, flexible, and safety‑focused, with the initiative to plan effectively and deliver high‑quality results

Additional Requirements:

  • Due to the nature of the role, overnight stays may be required.
  • A full driving licence is essential.
