Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Perth, Glasgow or Aberdeen.

Salary: £50,100 - £75,100 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The main purpose of the role is to establish business readiness and drive user adoption across our Transmission Digital programmes, portfolios and projects covering IT, OT and Cyber. This will involve working in partnership to co‑ordinate, manage and align delivery of business change activity for value chains and projects which have a significant impact on colleagues within one or more areas of the Transmission business.

Using our Digital Business Change Framework and in line with our project and programme planning cycles, ensure successful implementation of leader‑led change experiences within transformation projects. Ensure appropriate elements of the Business Change approach and principles are consistently applied and add value to business leaders and impacted users.

Lead on the continual refinement of our approach, tools and templates and enhance the change capability of the wider Digital Business Change Team.

You will:

  • Apply and adopt our structured, systematic digital business change framework to guide individuals and teams through digital business changes; communication and engagement, business readiness and adoption.
  • Define and integrate clear change measures and metrics as part of the project plan and delivery framework.
  • Be responsible for the oversight and leadership of digital business change team members that are accountable for planning and management of digital business change activities on either all elements of a single project or specific elements of multiple projects.
  • Coach the Change Managers and Change Analysts aligned with projects on the design, development and delivery of quality, accurate and timely materials and activities that deliver a positive change experience.
  • Provide guidance to the Value Chain / Cyber Resilience Leads and project management team on business change needs, relevant outputs and desired outcomes.
  • Report the status of project activities including risks, issues, mitigations and decisions.
  • Raise any internal or cross project dependencies to the project and business change team, ensuring they are recorded and appropriately managed to resolution.
  • Create and manage an overarching Programme level view of all portfolio and project level change activities allowing business leaders to understand the compound impact of change on their business areas.
  • Use this insight to shape stakeholder engagement sessions and influence the Transmission Digital implementation schedule.
  • Support business leaders in managing any resistance to change and recommend approach to avoid or overcome change fatigue / saturation.
  • Work closely with other members of the Business Change team to align resources effectively, based on business priorities and demand across all Digital Programmes.
  • Assess and define the Digital Business Change requirements for projects and programmes at the beginning of the lifecycle (Discovery) and plan adequate Digital Business Change resource (including third parties) to support adoption and benefit realisation.

You have:

  • Substantial previous experience of leading Business Change within large scale transformational projects and programmes; across a range of businesses and sectors desirable.
  • Exceptional customer focus, ensuring that business benefits and impacted user capability are always at the forefront of activity.
  • Previous people and/or third party contractor management experience preferred, with a focus on performance and engagement.
  • Change certification desirable, along with the ability to demonstrate how Change models can be applied at a practical level.
  • Knowledge of change management techniques, models and theories, and experience of their practical application in a business context.
  • Able to demonstrate subject matter expertise with a strong understanding of business change best practices.
  • Ability to deliver within challenging timescales, the ability to effectively prioritise, plan and organise, balance immediate and longer‑term business priorities.
  • Challenge the "status quo" by proposing imaginative, appropriate solutions and implementing innovative ways of delivering change experiences that are memorable.
