The Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role in turning innovative ideas into solutions that can be delivered, adopted and sustained. This role sits at the intersection of innovation and delivery, providing structure, clarity and professional rigour as initiatives progress from early exploration through to real‑world impact. While digital, IT and data‑enabled solutions are a core focus, you will also support innovation across a broader landscape – including new tools and equipment, modelling approaches, and changes to ways of working and capability. You’ll work on complex, forward‑looking initiatives, helping ensure that innovation delivers practical, measurable and lasting value.
You will
- Lead business analysis across innovative initiatives, providing a clear link between emerging ideas and delivery teams so solutions – whether IT/data‑enabled, analytical/modelling‑based, equipment/tooling, or ways‑of‑working changes – can be implemented and sustained in day‑to‑day operations.
- Translate innovation goals into clear, structured requirements and process understanding, working closely with technology, data and subject‑matter teams to ensure solutions are feasible, secure, value‑focused and aligned to real business needs.
- Partner with stakeholders to shape scope, priorities, dependencies and success measures, facilitating structured workshops and discussions that bring clarity to complex, cross‑functional or uncertain problem spaces.
- Support delivery from concept through to adoption, clarifying requirements during build and test, validating outcomes against intent, and supporting readiness for change, including what’s needed for a smooth transition into standard governance and support.
- Strengthen business analysis practice across the portfolio, promoting pragmatic, outcome‑driven analysis, improving templates and standards, capturing lessons learned, and coaching others to increase consistency and impact.
You have
- A strong track record as a Business Analyst delivering complex change end‑to‑end, ideally across a mix of digital/data, operational, analytical/modelling, or physical/tooling initiatives, with evidence of successful outcomes.
- Formal business analysis training or qualifications (such as BCS, IIBA or equivalent), or demonstrable depth of professional practice using structured methods for requirements, process analysis and decision support.
- Experience working at the intersection of business and delivery teams, with the confidence to engage credibly with IT, data, engineering/operational and change specialists and translate between different perspectives.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly, produce concise artefacts, and align diverse groups around shared goals, trade‑offs and priorities.
- A curious, adaptable and improvement‑focused mindset, comfortable working in evolving, innovation‑led environments and committed to learning, inclusive collaboration, and continuously improving how work gets done.
