The role

We’re looking for an Investment & Commercial Manager to help maximise and protect the value of major renewable energy investments, with a particular focus on offshore wind. You’ll work across projects spanning development through to operations, applying commercial insight, financial analysis and strategic thinking to support high‑quality decision‑making and long‑term value creation. This is a unique opportunity to influence how large‑scale renewable assets perform commercially while playing a meaningful role in accelerating the transition to a net zero energy system. Working within a dynamic and collaborative environment, you’ll partner with multidisciplinary teams to drive commercial performance, manage risk and identify opportunities that deliver value across complex renewable energy portfolios.

You will:

  • Maximise value across renewable energy investments by identifying opportunities to enhance revenues, optimise costs and proactively manage commercial risk across projects and portfolios.
  • Provide high‑quality commercial and financial insight, using, interpreting and challenging financial models to test assumptions, evaluate scenarios and support robust, evidence‑based investment decisions.
  • Lead commercial input into contracts and negotiations, partnering closely with delivery and procurement teams to achieve balanced, value‑focused outcomes that protect and enhance long‑term value.
  • Collaborate across technical, commercial and operational teams to align priorities, manage uncertainty and unlock portfolio‑wide opportunities and benefits.
  • Support the ongoing optimisation of renewable assets throughout their lifecycle, contributing to both short‑term performance and long‑term strategic value creation.

You have:

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience applying these skills within complex projects, investments or infrastructure environments – ideally within renewables, energy or power generation.
  • Experience working with contracts and negotiations, alongside a strong understanding of how commercial structures create, protect and enhance value.
  • Confidence working with financial models, including the ability to interpret outputs, challenge assumptions and improve model quality.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse teams and perspectives.
  • A proactive, analytical mindset, with the ability to balance commercial outcomes, strategic priorities and risk management in a fast‑moving environment.
