Salary: €76,100-€114,100/£58,100-£87,100 + car/car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Package Project Manager (CPPM) to join our Onshore Wind, Solar, and BESS construction team. This is a pivotal role in delivering large-scale renewable energy projects safely, on time, and within budget, supporting SSE's Net Zero Acceleration Programme Plus (NZAP+).
You will:
- Package & Team Leadership: Led electrical balance-of-plant (eBoP) work package delivery, supporting the CPM in managing multidisciplinary teams and contractors to meet scope, programme, budget, and quality requirements, while providing line management, coaching, and fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance: Drove SSE's safety licence principles ("If it's not safe, we don't do it"), ensuring a proactive safety culture across all phases; oversaw design deliverables, inspections, testing, and technical assurance to maintain compliance with environmental, sustainability, and regulatory standards.
- Planning, Reporting & Governance: Delivered accurate progress, risk, and financial reporting; fulfilled all Large Capital Project (LCP) Gate 3-5 governance requirements; and ensured robust assurance, documentation, and readiness across construction milestones.
- Contract, Commercial, Risk & Change Management: Administered NEC/FIDIC work package contracts; managed scope, schedule, cost, and commercial performance; identified and mitigated key risks; controlled change processes; and captured lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement & External Relations: Built strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, statutory bodies, landowners, and local communities to support smooth construction delivery and reinforce the project's reputation.
You have:
- An engineering, construction, project management qualification/degree or equivalent experience in delivering HV and LV systems.
- A proven track record of leading and safely delivering projects to programme through the whole lifecycle inclusive of managing and monitoring costs, schedule and quality in major infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation, NEC/FIDIC contracts, Programmes and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including extended periods on-site.
- As this will be a site based role, a full driving licence is required due to the nature of the role.
