Salary: £29,504 – £34,757
Potential extra pay of up to £8,262 per year through overtime and standby payments.

About the Role
You will be part of a highly skilled Arborist team working year‑round to keep the network safe and reliable. Your primary responsibilities will include planning, preparing and carrying out tree cutting works on a variety of sites near overhead distribution lines. You will support lines teams during bad weather and play a key role in storm response to restore supplies where trees have damaged equipment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, prepare and carry out tree cutting works on a variety of sites.
- Work in high‑risk environments with power lines and climbing, supporting the safety culture and embedding safety guidelines in all activities.
- Support field teams during storm response to restore supplies where tree damage has impacted equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in tree cutting, forestry or arboriculture (or similar capacity experience).
- Relevant NPTC certificate units for chainsaw use, and a qualification or certificates including NPTC UA.
- High regard for safety and a flexible approach to work.
- Experience of working with power lines and climbing is highly advantageous.
Travel & Licensing
Travel is required and only candidates that hold a current driving licence will be considered.
