The Recovery Coach role is a flexible, multi-skilled position providing direct emotional wellbeing and practical support to individuals to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Working with people on a 1-2-1 or group basis, in people's homes and communities, the support worker will help individuals identify their strengths, issues and goals, encourage utilisation of existing strengths, facilitate new skill building, and support independent living, self-management and personal recovery. The worker will assess strengths and needs and link people with meaningful supports within their community.

This work is about helping people to live well and achieve the things in life that really matter to them. We have roles available across our 24/7 care at home, housing support and specialist mental health outreach services, commissioned by Dundee Council and supporting people living with severe and enduring mental health issues and common co-morbidities, such as neurodevelopmental conditions.

What we are looking for:

  • We value respect and dignity for the people who use our services and ask applicants to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups membership scheme and register with the Scottish Social Services Council.
  • Ideally, you will have experience supporting people with mental health problems, key-working and case management.
  • You will possess great people skills, honesty, reliability and resilience.
  • Initiative, compassion, energy, determination and the ability to motivate and inspire service users are essential.
