Job Summary and key responsibilities: To manage the client finances on a portfolio of businesses, completing key monthly and annual processes, hitting block KPIs and delivering block financial information to Property Managers and Block Directors when requested.
- Daily allocation of leaseholder/supplier payments via the block management system.
- Inputting budgets into the system and issuing service charge and ground rent invoices.
- Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Preparing and reviewing on boarding and off boarding accounts.
- Resolving account problems, queries and transactions received from clients.
- Attending meetings online / in person at the office with clients.
- Accounts vs Budget monthly reviews and ability to explain variances to clients and Property Managers.
- Year end and budgeting reporting requirements for individual locations.
- Liaise with external accountants for the preparation of Service Charge Accounts.
- System housekeeping.
- Release of payments from the bank for contractors.
- Answering daily calls to assist with supplier and client queries.
What are we looking for:
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Able to plan and prioritise.
- Excellent IT skills - Experience of Microsoft suite of products, Word, Excel etc.
- Attention to detail.
- Managing a team.
- Able to communicate at all levels.
- Experience of using Property Management accounts systems, ideally MRI Qube and/or Resident.
- Knowledge of conveyancing.
- Service charge accounting experience.
- Block Management finance experience.
- Knowledge of property market and associated services.
- Knowledge of ARMA compliance rules.
- Team leadership.
- Experience of busy month end routines.
- Experience of working in a sales orientated industry.
- Experience of divisional or departmental accounts.
- Actively studying/Qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA.
