Due to continued growth, an opening is available for a Production Operator in our Petersmuir Sawmill. Your role will involve contributing to the creation of quality timber products—on time and to specification.
Responsibilities:
- Manual handling of timber.
- Operating state‑of‑the‑art sawmilling machinery.
- Operating Mobile Plant Vehicles.
- Working towards set production targets.
- Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices.
About you:
- No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided.
- You should be motivated, hardworking, quality‑focused, flexible, and willing to adapt to maximize operations and meet quality targets with minimum waste.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
- Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
- Experience within a manufacturing or similar production environment would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Ideally, successful candidates will hold a Full Drivers Licence, but this is not essential.
