Due to our continued and exciting growth, we are looking to recruit a Production Operator to join our workforce across the BSW Timber site in Corpach, Fort William.
Responsibilities
- Manual handling of timber.
- Operating state of the art sawmilling equipment.
- Working towards and maintaining set production targets.
- Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices across the site.
- Operating mobile plant machinery.
About you
Ideally, we’re seeking a motivated individual who is quality focused and understands the value of the goods they are producing. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained, and quality targets are met with minimum wastage. You will be self-motivated, have a can-do attitude and be willing to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role. In addition, you will have:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
- Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, or similar production environment, would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
