Hours of Work: 07:00 – 15:30, Monday – Friday
Salary: £13.19 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced FLT Driver to join our reconditioned team at our Newport site. In this hands‑on role you will operate a forklift truck to move raw materials and finished products around the site, loading and unloading vehicles and kilns (if required) while working safely and efficiently in line with site procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift truck to move timber, pallets, and packaging materials on site
- Load and unload vehicles and kilns (if required)
- Perform daily pre‑use checks and report any faults or defects
- Ensure materials are available to support production flow
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and site guidelines
- Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe working environment
- Represent the company professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and wear PPE at all times
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Current counterbalance FLT licence or site‑specific counterbalance qualification
- A proactive, can‑do attitude and strong communication skills
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to Health & Safety
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is advantageous
