The Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the safe and efficient operation of plant and production equipment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns, and help improve equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs safely
- Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults quickly
- Complete PPM tasks in line with schedules
- Work on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, bearings, and gearboxes
- Support installation and commissioning of equipment
- Accurately record maintenance activities
- Drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime
About You
- Time-served Mechanical Apprentice (or equivalent)
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems
- Proactive, team-oriented and safety-focused
