Fancy building your career in a role that offers genuine responsibility, variety and the opportunity to enjoy everything that comes with living outside London? I'm currently working on behalf of a well-established private property business that is looking to appoint a Development Project Manager to join its growing property team in East Anglia. This could be a particularly exciting opportunity for someone currently based in London or the South East who is considering a move to a different environment, without compromising on the quality, variety or scope of their career. East Anglia offers an excellent lifestyle, with beautiful countryside and coastline, thriving market towns and easy access back into London when needed.

More importantly, this is a genuinely interesting client-side role offering exposure across the full development lifecycle and the opportunity to work closely with senior decision-makers. The role will include:

  • Managing development and construction projects from planning through to delivery
  • Discharging planning conditions and implementing consents
  • Appointing and managing multidisciplinary consultant teams
  • Preparing development appraisals, CAPEX papers and financial reporting
  • Managing project budgets, cashflow and programme
  • Supporting strategic land promotion and planning initiatives
  • Working closely with senior leadership on investment, development and asset enhancement opportunities

I'm keen to speak with individuals with experience in Development Management, Project Management, or a combination of both, ideally gained within a developer, landed estate, property company or consultancy. The ideal candidate will have:

  • MRICS, or be working towards chartership
  • Strong project delivery experience
  • Planning and development knowledge
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Experience managing consultants and multiple stakeholders
  • The confidence to work autonomously and influence decision-making

This is a varied role offering genuine long-term career development, significant exposure and the opportunity to help shape and deliver a diverse portfolio of projects within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. If you're considering a move to East Anglia and would like a role where you can continue to develop your career while enjoying a different pace and quality of life, I'd love to have a confidential conversation.
