Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the manufacturing operation to meet output, budget, and performance targets.
- Take full accountability for Health & Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD).
- Ensure timber stock levels are effectively managed to support production and new business growth.
- Develop, motivate, and lead a high-performing team through strong leadership and engagement.
- Maintain safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible working practices.
- Oversee plant production planning and financial performance.
- Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives and modern manufacturing principles.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Monitor market and supply trends, identifying risks and advising on potential impacts.
- Mentor and develop team members to build capability and succession.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and decisive leader with a passion for operational excellence. You will have:
- Proven experience in a Plant Manager / Site Manager / Production Manager role.
- Strong background in manufacturing operations (ideally timber, packaging, or similar industries).
- Demonstrable experience leading teams and driving performance improvements.
- Solid understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Experience with supply chain and procurement processes.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
