Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the manufacturing operation to meet output, budget, and performance targets.
  • Take full accountability for Health & Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD).
  • Ensure timber stock levels are effectively managed to support production and new business growth.
  • Develop, motivate, and lead a high-performing team through strong leadership and engagement.
  • Maintain safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible working practices.
  • Oversee plant production planning and financial performance.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives and modern manufacturing principles.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor market and supply trends, identifying risks and advising on potential impacts.
  • Mentor and develop team members to build capability and succession.

About You

We’re looking for a confident and decisive leader with a passion for operational excellence. You will have:

  • Proven experience in a Plant Manager / Site Manager / Production Manager role.
  • Strong background in manufacturing operations (ideally timber, packaging, or similar industries).
  • Demonstrable experience leading teams and driving performance improvements.
  • Solid understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Experience with supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
