As Assistant Management Accountant, you will work closely with experienced Finance Business Partners, supporting the delivery of financial reporting, analysis and insight, to aid decision‑making and business performance. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of financial activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver on key tasks to support an accurate and timely month‑end and year‑end close including accounts production and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist the Finance Business Partners with the preparation of weekly and monthly management reports, providing accurate financial data and analysis to support performance tracking.
  • Support the translation of financial data into clear, meaningful information for non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Prepare external reporting requirements such as VAT returns and Office of National Statistics returns for review by the Business Controller.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of system‑based reporting, controls and data processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

  • Studying towards (or planning to study towards) a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
  • A good understanding of basic financial principles, including financial statements and KPIs.
  • Proactive and inquisitive mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with both finance and non‑finance colleagues.
  • Experience using Excel at an intermediate level (pivot tables, lookups etc).
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics, Navision, SAP or similar ERP systems is desirable but not essential.
