As an Electrical Inspection and Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting electrical inspections, testing electrical systems, identifying issues and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Main Responsibilities Carry out periodic electrical inspections and testing, including the accurate completion and submission of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in accordance with regulatory requirements. Conduct thorough testing and inspection of new electrical installations before they are commissioned, verifying their safety, functionality and compliance. Carry out work on-site independently and efficiently, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage tasks without direct supervision. Plan and organise jobs as required by the contracts manager, ensuring jobs are completed on schedule and to specification. To participate in all training initiatives specific to the job Take reasonable care of your own safety and that of others; cooperate with managers and supervisors in complying with statutory Health & Safety duties; and promptly report incidents, accidents, and faults. Essential Criteria Time served, fully qualified electrician to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Hold a full driving license. City & Guilds 2382, 18th Edition; Qualified to City & Guilds 2391, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations or Equivalent Proven experience of periodic installation testing and knowledge and experience of completing NICEIC reports Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines Able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Desirable Criteria Knowledge of motor control circuits, electrical controls and instrumentation Experience in electrical fault findingand troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
