WE ARE LOOKING FOR CHILDREN'S CLUB ASSISTANTS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CHILDREN AGED 4 MONTHS - 4 YEARS AND AVAILABLE FOR THE ENTIRE SUMMER SEASON (9TH MAY - 6TH NOVEMBER)

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Team Leader / Childcare Manager, you will ensure every child in our care feels safe, secure and protected by providing an environment, both physically and emotionally to promote this. Our aim is for all our young guests (4 months to 4 years) to have a memorable and unforgettable holiday experience packed with a variety of activities in an exceptional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Nothing is too much trouble will be your motto while caring for the children, planning and delivering an engaging and age-appropriate range of activities.
  • Ensure the guests benefit from the highest level of childcare.
  • Be adept at keeping an efficient and accurate record of plans and routines.
  • Ensure and maintain excellent safeguarding practices.
  • Work closely with management, all team members and hotel staff.
  • Have a flexible approach to the role and be prepared to step in where necessary.

Duties

  • Provide a safe, hygienic and stimulating environment for children.
  • Plan and deliver a range of indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Ensure all infants' personal needs are met.
  • Provide nutritious and healthy snacks and lunch.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures to guarantee an efficient operation.
  • Deliver expected standards in all aspects of your work.
  • Communicate with parents throughout their stay regarding their child's wellbeing.
  • Complete any administration tasks to the required standard (with training given).
  • Provide a degree of flexibility wherever possible to meet business needs.
  • Report any Health and Safety concerns.
  • Always maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Travel to other resorts if required.
  • Take part in a range of sporting, cooking and crafting activities including water sports.

Essential Experience

There will be an expectation that you have:

  • Clear spoken and written English.
  • Experience of working with groups of children.
  • A childcare qualification.
  • Capability to work in sole charge of children.
  • A strong awareness of health and safety in a childcare setting.
  • A flexible approach to work.

Desirable Attributes

We can provide some training, but an ideal candidate might already have:

  • Paediatric first aid qualification (ideally).
  • Additional languages.
  • Full clean UK/EU driving license.
  • Available for the season (early May to early November).
