Join our team as a Seasonal Garden Centre Merchandiser and be a part of a fast-paced and exciting seasonal work environment! This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for gardening and enjoy working in a dynamic and outdoor environment.
As a Seasonal Garden Centre Merchandiser, you will contribute to the visual appeal of our garden center, ensuring an inviting atmosphere that delights customers and showcases our flowers and plants. Friday to Sunday Opening AM shifts or Closing PM shifts are available.
Responsibilities:- Display Creation: Set up and organize inventory quickly and efficiently. Arrange and showcase products in an appealing and customer-friendly manner.
- Product Rotation and Maintenance: Regularly update displays to feature new arrivals and highlight promotions. Ensure all products are correctly priced and have accurate signage. Monitor and report any damaged or unsellable merchandise.
- Customer Engagement: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries and garden-related questions. Offer gardening tips and advice to enhance the customer's experience.
- Stocking and Inventory: Work to condense shelves and maintain organized inventory levels. Collaborate with lead and management staff to replenish products and ensure a well-stocked garden center.
- Visual Standards: Maintain visual standards by keeping displays clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing. Follow company merchandising guidelines and seasonal themes in a clean environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals. Communicate regularly with supervisors to provide updates on inventory, customer feedback, and display effectiveness.
- Passion for gardening, outdoor living and an active lifestyle.
- Previous retail or merchandising experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment and handle physical tasks including pushing, pulling and lifting up to 45lbs daily.
- Used to working in an extremely fast-paced environment with the ability to think quickly on your feet.
