The Role

The position focuses on planned preventative maintenance of HVAC plant, including reactive fault‑finding and emergency works as required by our client. Candidates should have a strong background in commercial building services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repair works across multiple contracts.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with clients, suppliers and sub‑contractors to maintain excellent relationships and ensure smooth operation.
  • Provide boiler/combustion servicing and repair works across various contracts.
  • Maintain low‑pressure boilers, high‑pressure boilers, power boilers, steam boilers and hot water heating systems.
  • Monitor boiler systems to ensure safe operation; facilitate periodic cleaning.
  • Address any problems with boiler systems and notify maintenance as needed.
  • Report potentially dangerous equipment or safety violations to the relevant manager.
  • Adhere to relevant legislation when performing maintenance.
  • Attend call‑outs during normal working hours and participate in the out‑of‑hours emergency call‑out rota.

Candidate Requirements

  • Knowledge of commercial and domestic heating systems and associated plant with relevant qualifications.
  • Previous experience as a mobile engineer across multiple sites.
  • Strong building services experience with good fault‑finding knowledge and understanding of building compliance.
