Procurement Operations Analyst

Wollaston, Northamptonshire

As our new Procurement Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering the day-to-day buying activities that keep our business moving. From managing vendor, material, and service master data to overseeing price files and purchases, you’ll ensure Scott Bader demonstrates buying excellence and meets customer commitments. Your work will underpin the smooth and efficient delivery of procurement operations, always aligned with our defined systems, standards, and policies.

You’ll also contribute to the continuous improvement of our procurement processes, supporting better ways of working and stronger vendor relationships. Through accurate reporting and effective performance management, you’ll help us not only maintain operational excellence but also create opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Operational Delivery & Compliance – Execute buying activities in line with SLAs, policies, financial authorities, and compliance standards (SHE, QA, ISO, REACH, sustainability, ethics).
  • Supplier & Vendor Management – Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, manage performance, support audits, and ensure effective service delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Process & Continuous Improvement – Contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of procurement processes, systems, and best practices to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement – Work cross-functionally with internal teams, procurement leads, and category managers to meet business needs, share improvement opportunities, and support projects.
  • Reporting & Performance Management – Track and report against KPIs, provide analysis on trends and costs, and support financial savings targets through accurate data and insights.

What do I need to be successful in this role?

  • Proven experience in operational procurement within a fast-paced, international manufacturing or processing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience of ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised and adaptable, able to prioritise workloads, meet tight deadlines, and make sound, concise decisions.
