Overview
Structural Adhesive Senior Assistant – Wollaston, UK
As our new Structural Adhesive Senior Assistant, you’ll undertake hands-on laboratory work within the Structural Adhesive Development team, supporting both short- and long-term projects. You will work under the guidance of the Adhesive Technology Manager and contribute to developing and testing innovative adhesive solutions that meet customer needs and drive product development forward.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver laboratory work to support short- and long-term development projects.
- Apply formulation knowledge to contribute to project planning, problem solving, and new product ideas.
- Maintain accurate records and create clear reports in line with ISO 9000 standards.
- Collaborate with R&D teams, commercial colleagues, and customers to support project success.
- Support pilot plant and manufacturing teams with product scale-up activities when required.
Qualifications
- Strong laboratory skills with the ability to follow procedures, carry out testing, and record data accurately.
- Proficient in data analysis, including reviewing and interpreting results to produce meaningful insights.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and confidence with Microsoft Office tools.
- Clear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, across cross-functional teams and external contacts.
- Degree in a relevant scientific subject or significant hands-on laboratory experience.
