Overview
As our new Junior 3D Printing Application Chemist, you\'ll support a mix of short to long term development projects within the 3D Printing team for new and modified products. You\'ll provide technical support to the businesses and their customers under the guidance of the 3D Printing Senior Application Chemist.
Responsibilities
- You\'ll develop and evaluate new materials and develop formulations for 3D Printing applications, to bring them to market speedily and effectively.
- You will be checking, maintaining (Chemical Inventory) and ordering raw materials. Ensuring completion of CoSHH assessments and support of general laboratory practices.
- You\'ll carry out Material & Analytical testing to evaluate performance for 3D Printing materials, including scoping work.
- You will regularly communicate and collaborate with commercial teams (or directly with customers) and operations teams providing technical support.
- You\'ll maintain accurate records and report data according to department processes and procedures, to ensure traceability of results and hence meet ISO9000 standards.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
- Degree or equivalent qualification in 3D Printing/Chemistry or a related subject, or significant experience working in a laboratory in a relevant field with ability to perform and interpret chemical reactions.
- You hold experience of examining data for accuracy purposes within a lab environment
- You are a quality conscious individual with a real passion for problem-solving.
- Experience in 3D Printing (SLA, DLP, LCD): designing, setting, printing, troubleshooting would be advantageous but not essential.
- We\'d love you to hold effective team-working and interpersonal skills, with evidence of some involvement in cross-functional teams.
