As our new Facilities Manager, you will support the UK site operation by ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and cost-effective site services. You will be responsible for implementing robust programmes to maintain full compliance with all relevant legislation, while leading and managing all on-site civil and construction activities. In doing so, you will play a key role in maintaining operational integrity, upholding high standards of safety and compliance, and enabling the site to run effectively and sustainably.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Lead the maintenance and long-term preservation of all site buildings, infrastructure, and grounds
  • Manage and deliver civil works projects, including contractor selection, negotiation, and end-to-end oversight
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, working closely with external authorities where needed
  • Oversee site services and external contractors (e.g. cleaning, security, water treatment) to ensure quality and cost efficiency
  • Lead, develop, and optimise the Facilities team to drive performance, continuous improvement, and effective service delivery

What do I need to be successful in this role?

  • Relevant engineering qualification (or equivalent experience), with strong administrative and IT skills to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Solid knowledge of civil/construction regulations and compliance requirements (including HSE, Environment Agency, and Legionella)
  • Proven experience managing contractors, projects, and permit-to-work systems safely and effectively
  • Leadership experience with the ability to develop and manage a small team to deliver high standards
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
