Working within our Operations team and reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating warehouse activities including picking, packing, loading and dispatch. You'll lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and performance are maintained at all times. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while developing your leadership skills within an employee-owned business.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations during the night shift
  • Supervise picking, packing, loading and dispatch activities
  • Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance
  • Manage, coach and develop warehouse team members
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives

What do I need to be successful in this role?

  • Experience leading and motivating a warehouse or logistics team
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and quality procedures
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and warehouse systems
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and make effective decisions under pressure

Desirable:

  • Counterbalance forklift truck licence
  • Experience within the chemical or manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of COMAH regulations and permit-to-work systems
  • IATA qualification or willingness to undertake training
