As our new Process Operator, you will manufacture finished products to production schedules, following specified formulations and process instructions, while carrying out in-process and final product testing to agreed quality standards. As part of a close-knit team, you’ll support continuous improvement, assist with training new staff, and step up to Team Leader duties when required.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Operate plant equipment safely and in line with SOPs, Responsible Care standards, and all relevant HSE and legislative requirements.
- Process, test, label, and pack finished products to agreed quality and production standards across multiple plant areas.
- Accurately record and maintain all production and quality data, ensuring timely follow-up where required.
- Work collaboratively across shifts and departments to meet production schedules, supporting training of new team members.
- Support plant supervision as required, including deputising for the Team Leader and covering out-of-hours shifts.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
- Experience in a processing plant or operational environment (chemical industry experience desirable)
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Flexible and able to work a 3-shift pattern
