The Role
As a Reservations Executive, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient booking processes for our guests. You will be the first point of contact for potential visitors, handling reservation inquiries and providing personalised recommendations to enhance their stay. Key Responsibilities
- Handling Reservations: Manage incoming reservations via phone, email, and online booking platforms, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Guest Communication: Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to inquiries, confirming bookings, and assisting with any special requests.
- Maximising Revenue: Optimise occupancy levels by upselling room types, packages, and hotel services where appropriate.
- Coordination: Liaise with other departments, including front desk, housekeeping, and food & beverage, to ensure guest requests and expectations are met.
- Booking Systems: Utilise hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera) to manage availability, rates, and reservations, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reservation reports for management.
- Maintaining Standards: Ensure all bookings and guest information are processed in accordance with the hotel’s policies and data protection regulations.
About You
- Experience: Previous experience in a reservations, front desk, or customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Organised & Detail‑Oriented: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure accuracy in all bookings.
- Proactive: A positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and guest satisfaction.
- Tech‑Savvy: Proficient in using hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera) and MS Office. Experience with online booking platforms is a plus.
