As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be the face of our establishment, ensuring every guest enjoys a welcoming, memorable experience. You will work dynamically across the restaurant, bar and event spaces, supporting both the front-of-house and kitchen teams to guarantee smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service & Sales
- Greet & Seat: Welcome guests warmly, provide menus, and show them to their tables.
- Take Orders: Accurately record food and beverage orders, noting any dietary requirements or special requests.
- Recommendations: Possess strong menu and beverage knowledge to confidently suggest pairings and upsell items.
- Guest Satisfaction: Check on tables to ensure guests are happy, and handle any feedback or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Service & Operations
- Food Service: Deliver meals from the kitchen with high standards of presentation and hygiene.
- Table Management: Set and reset tables quickly, ensuring tableware, glassware, and condiments are perfectly stocked.
- Bar Service: Take orders and prepare drinks in line with specification.
- Event Set-Up: Assist in arranging event spaces and function rooms prior to guest arrival.
- Payment Processing: Ensure payment transactions including cash, debit and credit cards are processed adhering to the till procedures, communicating any discrepancies to the shift leader before the end of your shift.
- Hygiene & Health & Safety
- Sanitation: Maintain spotless dining, bar, and back-of-house areas.
- Compliance: Adhere to strict health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times.
- Energy consumption: Be aware of energy consumption ensuring lights, air conditioning or equipment not in use are switched off.
- Equipment Storage: Ensure all equipment and furniture is correctly stored when not in use.
- Legislation: Be aware of licensing and food hygiene legislation applicable to the role.
- Appearance
- Housekeeping: Maintain the venue housekeeping standards, monitoring and influencing cleaning standards at all times.
- Daily Checks: Assist with a daily check of all function rooms, restaurant and bar areas to ensure they are clean and presentable, set according to any client requirements and in line with the SOP.
- Cleaning Schedules: Ensure cleaning rotas are adhered to and in line with company standards.
- Personal Appearance: Ensure high standards of personal hygiene are maintained at all times.

- E-Learning: Complete all of the required e-learning modules within a timely manner.
- Brand Manuals and SOPs: Be fully conversant in the brand manual and standard operating procedures to effectively conduct your role.
- Venue Support: Work collaboratively across other F&B outlets as business demands.
- Development Programmes: Contribute to your own development, exploring company initiatives for progression.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant, café, bar, or busy guest service environment is highly preferred, though a positive work ethic is key.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and communicate effectively with others.
- Multitasking: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment without compromising on service quality.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by business demands.
