SPACE Student Accommodation, St Andrews
Due to continued growth and expansion, SPACE Student Accommodation is looking for a hands‑on Facilities Supervisor to join our team in St Andrews. This is a permanent, year‑round role with responsibility for line managing our Housekeeping and Maintenance teams and ensuring our properties are clean, safe, well maintained and presented to an excellent standard.
The Role
- Line managing and coordinating Housekeeping and Maintenance teams
- Planning rotas, workloads and daily priorities
- Maintaining high standards across bedrooms, kitchens and public areas
- Overseeing maintenance activity and ensuring issues are resolved quickly
- Carrying out regular property and quality inspections
- Managing contractors, cleaning supplies, linen and stock
- Supporting health, safety and property compliance
Summer Hotel Operations
- Leading the summer housekeeping operation
- Managing high-volume student departure and room turnaround programmes
- Coordinating daily hotel housekeeping, arrivals and departures
- Ensuring rooms are cleaned, maintained, inspected and ready on time
- Managing seasonal housekeeping teams, linen and daily workloads
- Coordinating Maintenance to quickly resolve room defects
About You
We’re looking for a strong, hands‑on people manager who is organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. Experience in facilities, hotels, housekeeping, hospitality, student accommodation or a similar operational environment would be ideal.
