Key Responsibilities

  • Distribution Channel Management: Manage all online distribution channels, including OTAs (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia Group), GDS platforms, brand website and direct booking channels; ensure content, rates, and availability are accurate and consistent across all platforms; optimise channel mix to maximise profitability and reduce cost of sale; monitor and manage channel performance, including visibility, ranking, and conversion.
  • Systems Management: Oversee and maintain key systems, including Property Management System (PMS) (OPERA Cloud + MEWS), Channel Manager (SiteMinder), Booking engine (SiteMinder), OTA extranets, GDS (Synxis via SM); ensure seamless integration between systems and troubleshoot connectivity issues; lead system upgrades, implementations, and configuration changes; maintain data integrity across all systems.
  • Rate & Inventory Distribution: Ensure correct distribution of rate plans, pricing, availability and restrictions; support the Revenue Management team in executing pricing strategies across all channels efficiently and at a high accuracy; conduct regular audits to prevent rate parity issues and distribution errors.
  • Website & Direct Channel Optimisation: Ensure the hotel website and booking engine are fully functional, user‑friendly and optimised for conversion; support initiatives to increase direct bookings, including promotions and packages, rate visibility, content updates and reporting & performance monitoring; produce regular reports on channel performance, distribution costs and conversion metrics; track KPIs such as revenue by channel, average daily rate (ADR) and conversion rates.
  • Risk & Opportunity Highlight: Highlight risks and opportunities to the commercial team.
  • Cross‑Department Collaboration: Work closely with Revenue Management, Reservations (RES), Sales & Marketing, Front Office, GMs, ensuring alignment between systems, distribution and operational processes; provide guidance and support to teams on system usage and best practices.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience in hotel distribution, revenue management or reservations.
  • Strong knowledge of PMS (OPERA Cloud + MEWS), channel managers (SiteMinder), booking engine (SiteMinder), GDS and all OTA extranets.
  • Understanding of OTA and online distribution landscape.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical/system issues.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
