We are seeking an experienced, polished and dynamic Head Concierge to lead our Concierge Team and elevate every guest experience. This is a pivotal front-of-house role responsible for upholding the five-star standards of The Scotsman Hotel, ensuring every guest feels personally looked after from the moment they arrive until the moment they depart. The Head Concierge will act as the face of the hotel — a trusted expert, a confident ambassador and a natural leader capable of creating unforgettable moments for our guests.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver a warm, professional and personalised welcome to all guests.
- Anticipate guest needs, preferences and expectations to provide tailored recommendations and services.
- Maintain an encyclopaedic knowledge of Edinburgh's attractions, theatre, restaurants, shopping and events to curate exceptional itineraries.
- Oversee luggage handling, transport coordination, reservations and guest requests swiftly and efficiently.
- Lead, train and motivate the Concierge and Porter Teams to deliver consistent five-star service.
- Create a culture of professionalism, courtesy and guest-focused initiative.
- Manage departmental rotas, performance standards and daily operations.
- Uphold hotel policies, security standards and brand values at all times.
- Maintain strong relationships with local partners, service providers and tourism networks.
- Ensure the lobby and concierge desk operate seamlessly, maintaining a polished and welcoming environment.
- Manage guest feedback effectively, resolving issues with discretion and confidence.
- Previous experience as a Head Concierge or Senior Concierge in a luxury hotel environment.
- Profound knowledge of Edinburgh's culture, hospitality scene and landmarks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership ability with a passion for developing teams.
- Impeccable personal presentation and professional demeanour.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Experience with hotel management systems (PMS) is advantageous.
- Membership of Les Clefs d'Or is highly desirable.
