Christmas Department – General Assistant - Temporary
We are looking for a friendly and reliable General Assistant to join our Christmas Department in Great Shelford, on a temporary basis, until early January. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our busiest and most festive time of year, helping customers enjoy their Christmas shopping experience.
Main Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting shoppers with enquiries and purchases.
- Replenish stock to ensure shelves and displays are full, tidy, and well-presented.
- Support with pricing, merchandising, and creating eye-catching festive displays.
- Keep the department clean, organised, and safe for customers.
- Assist at the tills when required, ensuring transactions are handled accurately.
- Work as part of a team to ensure the Christmas Department runs smoothly during peak times.
Requirements of the Role:
- Enthusiastic and approachable, with a positive attitude.
- Able to deliver great customer service in a busy environment.
- Flexible and happy to assist with a variety of tasks.
- Reliable and punctual, with good teamwork skills.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful, but not essential as full training will be provided.
This is a temporary role, ending early January.
This role includes weekend working.
Rates of pay shown are for those aged 21+, competitive rates for those aged 18-20.

Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
