We are seeking an experienced Café Manager to lead our Sunflower Café in Scotsdales Graden Centre, Fordham. The Café Manager is responsible for the overall day‑to‑day running of the café, overseeing both front and back of house operations, ensuring high standards of customer service, food quality, cleanliness, staffing, and financial performance.
Main Duties:
- Manage the daily operations of the café and ensuring smooth professional service.
- Lead, motivate, and support the café team.
- Lead all aspects of people management, including recruitment, training, rotas, performance management, and team development.
- Ensure staffing levels are appropriate to business needs while controlling labour costs.
- Monitor and manage gross profit margins, food costs, wastage, and operational expenses.
- Consistently deliver high standards of food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness.
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
- Monitor stock levels, ordering, deliveries, and supplier relationships.
- Drive sales and identify opportunities to improve profitability and customer experience.
Requirements of the role:
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience managing staffing rotas, labour budgets, and operational costs.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and hospitality regulations.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Flexible approach to working hours including weekends and holidays.
- Customer‑focused with a positive and professional attitude.
Rate shown is for those aged 21 and over, competitive rates for ages 18 – 20.
